Tech Week Zombie

     Well, I certainly feel like one of the Walking Dead this week. For those of you not involved with the theatre world, allow me to explain the concept of Tech Week. Tech Week is the week before a show opens. You have rehearsal every night, and it usually goes until at least 11:00PM. It's when you introduce all the stuff that makes it fun, and makes it complicated, like sets, costumes, make-up, an orchestra, and any sound equipment. Suddenly the piece you've been rehearsing for six to eight weeks becomes an entirely new animal. It's fun, but it's an exhausting fun.

     So, while I'm not complaining, because I'm doing what I love, the lack of sleep certainly takes a toll on my energy levels throughout the day. If you see me on campus this week there's a good chance I'll be walking a bit slower than usual, not unlike the Zombies we've been studying all semester, other than those crazy World War Z/28 Days Later zombies, I will be looking nothing like that.

     Lastly I'm going to do a bit of shameless self promotion! It would mean the world to me if any of you guys would come see me in the Shepherd University Scene Stealers' production of Little Women this weekend! We've been working hard, and all that hard work is really paying off. The shows are Friday and Saturday at 8PM and Sunday at 3PM. Performances are at Reynolds Hall.
