I mentioned earlier in class this week about how zombies are American. Not just American but Americana. I believe after George Romero made the originial Night of the living dead, zombies have become a part of American pop culture.
50 years from now our grandchildren will read in the books and say "zombies! Thats so retro!"
I really think ithas become a sensation.
I end this short post with my take.
Zombies are all American; just like bacon cheese burgers, guns, Jack Daniel's and football. Just my opinion.
I love your post! We were both talking about how the popularity of zombie culture will be relevant in our kids and grandkids lives, just the same as how "the eighties" themed days are for kids in school now are relevant. Haha, I can't wait for those dress up days!
ReplyDeleteInstead of "70s" themed college parties, the break out the zombie masks and blood. Call it the 2000s!
ReplyDeleteDoes it not put life in perspective?
