The second topic I'd wanted to do a blog post about, but never really got around to was something I saw on "The Talking Dead," where guest Keegan Michael Key (of Key and Peele fame) discussed the possibility of a cult within the zombie apocalypse. I know we talked about people's individual faiths within the zombie apocalypse in class some, but I don't think we ever talked much about how a group of people who shared an extreme fringe belief would react. Sadly I couldn't find the clip I'm referring to online.
Lastly I wanted to go back to an idea we talked about earlier in the semester and that was the question of whether zombies and ghosts can exist in the same fictional universe? I think absolutely. In my mind a ghost is made up of everything a human must loose to become a zombie.
So this is the end of my final blog post! It's been a great semester, and I'll miss this class. What do you guys think of my "mini-blogs" this week? Are there any topics you wished I could have gone into more detail with? Also I'd love to get your take on the Zombie/Ghost thing.
I dont want to know either way. It is all bad ju ju in my book. Ghosts, zombies doesn't matter.
ReplyDeleteI wish you could've done a bigger post on the zombie/ghost thing. When we were talking about that in class you had some really good ideas about it. I thought that day was one of our most interesting conversations in class. This whole blog post was pretty interesting, and the Keegan Michael Key thing could've made an interesting post on it's own. I must say that I have to agree with you about that Japanese sport, they definitely look like zombies. I haven't even seen World War Z but I saw the previews for it and parts of this clip remind me of the zombies in that movie that climb the wall.
