At the end of today's class, we ended up in a discussion on what qualifies as a zombie. I believe that the classification of zombies is dependent on the culture that surrounds you. As mentioned before, I like to think of a zombie as a brain-dead creature. To me zombies are only driven with the basic human needs- the need to feed and expand. Zombies have somehow combined those needs into one. What they feed on becomes a zombie thus expanding zombie-kind.
In other cultures, zombies are seen as people who have been declared dead and later on were found out to be alive. That idea for a zombie intrigues me, but doesn't have the horror type feel that brought me into my fascination of zombies.
How would you classify a zombie?
