I have an obsessive compulsive need to finish work way ahead of time. Even if I don't have anything to work on, I will find some past paper to correct, or something to study. It's not a very attractive quality I can assure you all. So, I am writing this post a little past midnight because I figured why the heck not?
As you've probably figured from the first statement, I have already written my pick two essays and revised them probably over twenty something times (does pick two remind anyone else of Panera and make you immediately hungry?).
Anyways, the documentary that I used about zombies to write my papers with just so happens to feature the same guy in this weeks reading ( Why have zombie stories become so popular in the past 10-15 years? ). The mans name is Max Brooks, and I found him to be fairly interesting in both the documentary I watched and the little clip on the blog. Now, I wasn't so interested in the article itself and the statistics. The question the entire post posed to me was: Are there organizations for every other made up creature out there too? Are there people that are head of a werewolf society? Or a vampire society? I wonder what compels someone to be so fascinated with one particular character. Well, I guess it's not for me to judge considering I'm into odd things too.
In order to make the blogs easy to comment on and a little bit interesting, I would like to know what thing are you obsessed with?
Is there a television series? Certain character you obsess over? A collector of some sort? Do NOT give away one of your three interesting facts!

ReplyDeleteI have quite a few obsessions. My greatest obsession would be Doctor Who. I grew up watching the old black and white episodes with my dad and have been in love with the show since then. I was so into science fiction when I was younger that I never heard the term person until my testing to get into kindergarten. Originally I thought the lady asked me to draw a purse, but my mom later explained that I was supposed to draw a human.
So I have an obsession with aliens basically.
One series I have watched and rewatched is the Good Wife series on Amazon. It's on its 6th season now which is still airing on tv. The good wife is all about chicago politics while giving insight into the main character Alicia Florrick's life, and given that she is the governors wife, mother of two and successful lawyer its a very entertaining and interesting series. I'm obsessed with Eli her and Peter's champaign manager because he's so witty and evil haha. I suggest it to anyone who enjoys a good scandalous series.
ReplyDeleteI think one of my biggest obsessions is probably any possession movie. They really scare me, but for some reason if a movie like that is coming out I have to go see it. I remember watching "The Exorcist" when I was little, and it scared me so bad I couldn't watch it for years after that. One of my favorites is "The Exorcism of Emily Rose",but really I like to watch any horror movie. I always critique them. Movies just aren't what they used to be especially horror. They used to be so much scarier and realistic. A good one does come out once in a while though.
